We’re on holiday this week in the Lake District, and having a lovely time with a large group of friends. That’s a story for another day though. Today I’d like to join in with the lovely Tara Cain’s meme The Gallery. Each week Tara challenges us to share a photo the fits with her chosen theme, and when I found out that this week’s theme was “Animals” I knew I had the perfect picture to share.

It’s my birthday.
No, not my birthday. This blog’s birthday.
One year ago today, I published my first post. A very innocuous introduction to me and to this blog. At the time I was looking for a little project to keep me occupied whilst on maternity leave from work, having had the geekson three months previously. I had no idea where this blog was going to take me. Even now, when I look back, I’m amazed at how far I’ve come in the space of just one year…

I’d like to introduce you to a new feature that’s going to be a regular here on geekmummy.tv – it’s my App of the Week. Each Friday I’ll be bringing you a report of an app that’s caught my eye over the last week. At the moment these are likely to be mostly, but not exclusively, iPhone or iPad apps. I always love hearing about (and most importantly seeing) new apps, and as people often ask me what apps they should be installing on their devices, I thought this would be a great way of sharing some of my favourites with you.
