I make absolutely no secret of how much I love my iPad. In fact it’s very high up my “things I couldn’t live without” list indeed. But I like to keep my eyes on the competition in this area, and the rumours are that the new Samsung Galaxy Tab which launches this month is the most credible Android-based competition to my beloved Apple device to date. It’s got a full widescreen HD display, and it’s even a fraction thinner than the iPad 2. It boasts a better camera as well, and of course it’ll display all the Flash you like on the webpages that you visit – it’s starting to look like a real contender.
Samsung have set up a dedicated YouTube channel to house all the video reviews, unboxings and stories of the Galaxy Tab. I’ve just lost a happy hour or so digging around and watching a large chunk of the content they’ve got there, looking for the perfect video to share with you. In the video I’ve chosen we are on set just after the Samsung Galaxy Tab photo shoot with none other than Cat Deeley. She tells us why she loves the new tab and what she plans on using it for in the future. Cat figures out how to use the video camera and announces that she will be uploading videos over the next couple weeks to the World of Tab www.youtube.com/samsunguk. I have two questions for you though. First of all, is it just me that watches this and worries when she’s waving it around with one hand that it’s going to end up in the swimming pool? And second of all, please will someone tell her about the Kindle app? If she thinks she’s going to make more space in her handbag for books, I would imagine being able to store the books on her device is just going to blow her mind! Anyway, here’s Cat
