Another week, another meet and greet post for another blogging conference. Yes, I’m going to three this year. Excessive? Maybe, but I just love the chance to get together with other bloggers and socialise and learn stuff. And BlogCamp UK is going to be less expensive than the others, given that the tickets are free, and it’s being held in Birmingham, which is a much easier and cheaper journey for me than London. I consider myself lucky to have a ticket to BlogCamp UK, as they sold out within 6 hours of becoming available, and there is a waiting list of bloggers who want to come if anyone can’t make it.
It seems to be becoming a tradition that before any blogging conference we all introduce ourselves via a “meet and greet” post, so here’s a bit of information about me:
Name: Ruth Arnold
TwitterID: @R2UK (everything) and @geekmummy (blog-related stuff)
My blog’s about: Parenting, my family and technology (yes, I talk about nappies and iPads. Not in the same post though – that could get messy!)
Likes: my iPad, my iPhone, technology and gadgets in general, spending time with family and friends, cake, sitting inside a nice warm house on cold, windy, rainy days, singing loudly along to showtunes in my car, musicals, Glee, warm sunny days, roller coasters, rock music
Dislikes: office (and playground!) politics, eggs, not being able to find things, treading on Lego, John Humphreys-style of interviewing, having my photo taken (hence I’m still using this photo from a year ago – the kids have grown since then!)
If you’re going to BlogCamp UK this year I hope I get the chance to meet up with you – these events can be quite hectic. You can get to know more of the delegates over on the BlogCamp UK blog.
