Fourteen years ago

Fourteen years ago, surrounded by our family and friends, the geekdaddy and I made promises to each other and became husband and wife…

We’d been a couple for 8 years already by that point, so we were already pretty sure we wanted to stay together. In our mind marriage was about making it official, and making a commitment in front of our family and friends.

And whilst we did get some quiet time to ourselves…

…my overwhelming memories of that day are of fun, smiles, laughter, and having that wonderful experience of being at a party and knowing everyone else in the room. First and only time I think!

Happy anniversary my darling. You’re my lobster.

Grats, my dears. And is it disturbing that I knew what the lobster reference was without clicking on the link? I loved that scene! I remember your wedding day well (and can see Pete throwing confetti, I’m there too, but too short). We’re at 18 years in a couple of weeks. Time flies rilly rilly rilly rilly fast, doesn’t it? Happy happy kiss kiss.
