It’s the end of what has been a very busy few days. Our decluttering is still going OK – that means we’re getting it done but it’s coming on slowly. We’ve been pushed into action recently by the fact that it is the geekdaughter’s birthday on Wednesday, and her main presents are pieces of furniture, which we’ve had to get her room ready to receive. So this weekend saw us clearing, sorting and moving furniture around in preparation. I’ll share some photos soon!
We’ve got another busy week ahead of us. Aside from the birthday on Wednesday we have some friends coming to visit on Friday which is always a good excuse for a takeaway. On Saturday it’s BlogCamp in Manchester, and we’ve managed to sort our childcare arrangements (thanks to my lovely sister-in-law) so that both the geekdaddy and I can attend. It will be nice to attend another blogging event with him, and that’s going to be another excuse for a takeaway as there’s no chance of me wanting to cook a meal after a day out. And finally on Sunday it’s the geekdaughter’s birthday, and I have given up the fight and settled for a play barn party because it’s just easier. Her party is in the afternoon, so I’ll be cooking a main meal for all the family at lunchtime that day.
Here’s what my meal plan looks like for this week:
Monday: fast day, so no main meal to plan
Tuesday: Sausage and tomato pasta (left over from the weekend)
Wednesday: second fast day
Thursday: Lamb and rice one-pot
Saturday: More takeaway
Sunday: Chicken and tomato pasta bake
I’ll be linking this post up with the other Meal Planning Monday posts over on the At Home with Mrs M blog – why not head over there and see what other people are eating this week?
