When the geekdaughter started school last year we had to fill in an “all about me” questionnaire so that her teachers could learn something about her at the start of term. I liked the format so much that I’ve decided to use it as the basis of an annual update. I thought it would be interesting to track how her answers change as she grows up. So as the geekdaughter is 6 today it seemed like a good time to post an update…
Before I start I just want to confirm that these answers are totally hers, her words exactly. I’m not sure I agree with all her choices, and I do seem to have caught her in a remarkably clingy mood based on some of her answers. But I won’t put words into her mouth, so here’s what she said:
I am happy when… I’m with my Mummy and Daddy or when I’m dancing.
I am sad when… I am not with Mummy and Daddy
I get cross when… Mummy or Daddy are shouting at me
I feel worried when… I go to school
I don’t like… going to school
Best of all I like… chocolate and sleepovers
My favourite food is… chocolate
My favourite songs, rhymes and stories are… Electricity from Billy Elliott, 10 green bottles, The Little Girl Who Lost Her Name (review coming soon of this one)
My favourite game is… hide and seek and pass the parcel
My favourite toy is… My Russian dolls
My favourite television programme is… Mr Maker
When I’m at home I like to… cuddle Mummy and Daddy
My pets are… A cat
Happy birthday my beautiful little girl. You completely changed my life six years ago, and it is a privilege to watch you growing up.
