Regular readers of this blog will know that last year I worked with Panasonic as part of their Intelligent Living Mums programme. I got a trip to their Head Office, played with some great household appliances, and shared my experiences with you over several blog posts. I am delighted to be able to announce that Panasonic have now invited me to work with them again on their new Brit Bloggers programme. Over the next year I am going to learn all about their Smart TVs and home audio-visual products, and I’ll share what I learn with you again over the course of a few blog posts.
The programme kicked off a couple of weeks ago with a trip to the Panasonic Head Office for a demonstration of their latest Smart TV technology. Unfortunately I was unable to attend this event due to not being able to get the time off work, but the geekdaddy very nobly stepped in and went in my place. He had a great day, and really enjoyed getting hands-on with the latest technology (which has definitely moved on in leaps and bounds since the last time we bought a new TV!). If you want to hear more about his experiences he talks about them in the latest episode of our Parental Geekery podcast which you can find here – the Panasonic segment starts about 18 minutes in (if you don’t want to listen to the whole thing of course!).
In the coming weeks we’re hoping to get hands-on with one of the Panasonic smart TVs to put it through its paces, and we will, of course, let you know how we get on!
Disclosure: Panasonic paid the geekdaddy’s travel expenses for him to attend the workshop at their Head Office, and sent him away with a little goodie bag.
