Sometimes as a blogger I get offered the chance to work with a brand and it feels like I’ve won the jackpot. This is how I felt when I was asked if I’d like to work with GoPro over the summer. If you haven’t heard of GoPro before they make absolutely A-MAZ-ING tiny little high quality video cameras, that are designed to be usable in situations you wouldn’t normally think of using a video camera. They’re used a lot in extreme sports because they can be head mounted, but they have a much much wider range of uses than just that. GoPro wanted to work with a small number of bloggers, to let us loose with one of their cameras and an assortment of accessories to capture our summer holiday adventures. As I’ve wanted to get my hands on a GoPro camera for ages I couldn’t accept the offer fast enough.
GoPro also offered us all a challenge. Simply produce a video showing the highlights of all the fun things we captured using our GoPro cameras, and the one of us judged to be the “most adventurous family” could win a trip to the GoPro Games in America next year. Wow!
Unfortunately, for one reason or another, our most adventurous activities happened early on in the summer, before our camera arrived. So for our competition entry we’ve decided to take on the challenge a little differently, and highlight the ways the GoPro camera can turn even the most ordinary, mundane activities, like driving a car, a trip to the park or even making a cup of tea, into something extraordinary. So without further ado I give you our ordinary family life – GoPro style:
So that’s what we got up to with our GoPro. I’ll be publishing a full review of the camera shortly, and if you want to see what else it can do I recommend you check out the entries by A Mother’s Ramblings, LittleStuff, My Two Mums and Thinly Spread.
Disclosure: We were provided with a GoPro Hero 3+ camera and a selection of accessories for review purposes.
