We’re back to the normal routine this week, after a busy couple of weeks with my drama production. There was great excitement from the whole family when we had a fall of snow that actually settled – our first of this winter. Here is my collection of daily photos for this week:
Sunday 25 January 2015: Baking
The best part of baking is always the licking out of the bowl. Today my daughter made chocolate fudge, and both kids helped tidy up 🙂
Monday 26 January 2015: Lego
My son left this creation on my desk today. I don’t know what (if anything) it’s supposed to be – at the moment if you ask him what he’s making with his lego, nine times out of ten he’ll say it’s a spaceship. But I like that he made it all on his own, and left it for me 🙂
My son left this abstract Lego creation on my desk today. I don’t know what it is, but I love it 🙂 #tw #365 26/365 A photo posted by Ruth Arnold (@r2uk) on
Tuesday 27 January 2015: Bookworm?
I found this on my daughter’s bed this morning, and she told me she’d read the first chapter before getting up. I’m hoping this is another sign of an emerging bookworm.
Wednesday 28 January 2015: Sudoku
We discovered that you can buy books of simple Sudoku puzzles for kids, and tried the geekdaughter with one. She got the hang of them very quickly, and has been enjoying working through them.

Thursday 29 January 2015: Snowy photographer
We had our first fall of snow that actually stuck today, and of course my husband, the photographer, dashed out into the garden to get some shots. And got himself covered in the process!
Friday 30 January 2015: More Snow
Much excitement in the house to discover that more snow had fallen overnight and we had quite a decent covering. It’s the first time I’ve known my daughter to willingly get dressed with no nagging from me, as she was desperate to get outside and play in it!
A little more snow fell last night 🙂 #uksnow #cheshiresnow #tw #365 30/365 A photo posted by Ruth Arnold (@r2uk) on
Saturday 31 January 2015: Honey Monster
We were invited to meet the Honey Monster at a local shopping centre. I was more excited about this than the kids – as they don’t watch adverts they had never seen him before, but I showed them a few of the old adverts on YouTube before we went. They seemed to enjoy it whilst we were there.
