It’s been another uneventful week this week, and we’ve mostly been going around our usual routine. We’re gearing up for the end of term, with just one more week left before the kids break up. We had fun at the school summer fair on Friday, and the kids have started bringing their work home from school – this means I have to find somewhere to keep it all! Here are the photos I have selected to tell the story of this week in pictures:
Sunday 5 July 2015: Working Together
Monday 6 July 2015: Proud Mummy
Tuesday 7 July 2015: Car Wash Fun
Wednesday 8 July 2015: More Exciting Than it Looks!
You can tell you’re middle aged when you get excited about the Council delivering you a second recycling bin because you keep filling the first! #tw A photo posted by Ruth Arnold (@r2uk) on
Thursday 9 July 2015: What Am I Letting Myself in For?
Friday 10 July 2015: Surprise Visitor
I had quite a surprise this morning when I moved the wheelie bin and discovered this handsome chappie underneath it! #tw #frog A photo posted by Ruth Arnold (@r2uk) on
Saturday 11 July 2015: Summer Reading Challenge
Both kids signed up for the summer reading challenge at our library this morning. Here are the characters that will represent them as they travel around the track on the wall in the library. David has a tortoise, Catherine a hare. They decorated them themselves. The summer reading challenge is a great scheme organised by the library service – kids are challenged to read 6 books over the summer, they get a poster to track their progress and stickers for each pair of books they read. If they complete the challenge they get a certificate and a medal.
Usually I link my Photo a Day posts to a Linky hosted by The Boy And Me. However she’s taking a brief hiatus, so until she’s back there is a blog hop running instead. So if you want to see how other bloggers are getting on with their photo a day projects simply click on their pictures below:
