It’s been another busy week in the geek household this week. We’re finally starting to feel ready for Christmas – the house is decorated, the plans are made, the geekdaughter has finished her first term of school. I braved Waitrose on Saturday morning to stock up on food, and we’ve even wrapped a few presents already. The stress is starting to give way to a sense of happiness and maybe even a little excitement

As one of the LEGO Duplo blogger families for 2012 we have had the opportunity to review all sorts of lovely LEGO, and we were really blown away with our most recent delivery – the LEGO Duplo Photo Safari set. It is by far and away the biggest Duplo set I’ve ever seen, boasting 3 Duplo figures (2 men, 1 woman), no less than EIGHT Duplo animals, two vehicles (a jeep and a plane) and a selection of blocks with which you can build a campsite, a tree and a waterfall. The geek-kids couldn’t wait to open it up and see what it was like…

It’s been a week of sickness in the geek household this week, with the geekson being poorly at the start of the week, and then the geekdaughter going down with something very nasty in the middle of the week. Regular readers will be aware that for many weeks now I have been in the habit of posting a Silent Sunday post each week – one picture from the week with no words. Recently I’ve been finding it harder to narrow down my selection and I often want to include words to explain why I chose the picture, or what it means to me.
